Coober Pedy SA

Originally we were to stay here only one night, but with so much to see and do we had to do two nights. First stop was the Opal Cave ( I am in Love, so many beautiful stones and the colours were spectacular. ( Spent too much). But they say happy wife, happy life ( I am a true believer of this saying).Toured the Faye Naylor underground house ( built by three women no less) with the first swimming pool in Coober Pedy. Did some noodling in the opal tailings. Found nothing.

Coober Pedy has an annual rainfall of around 175mls per year. On our second night there, I think they had around 15 or 20mls. The ground turned instantly to red sludge.
